[WurmWald] Time for recruiting at the Illinois Ren Faire again!

We haven't had the pleasure to meet as of yet, but we just moved here in June and are very interested in being a part of the group. We came from Riverwatch, in Dubuque, Iowa. The RenFaire would be a great thing, but we will be out of town for the weekend. Hopefully WurmWald will be a good presence there. 
Hope to make it to one of the events or meetings soon.

Illinois RenFaire

held this year on the weekend of September 3-5 (yes,
Labor Day weekend, I know). It will be held at
Ellsworth Park in Danville, Illinois. At the last
meeting, Wurm Wald decided to make a showing again. We

This is a big recruiting opportunity for us and we
really need people to pitch in and help. The faire is

rather small one and has some organizational problems,
which you may have heard of. However, they are bending
over backwards to make us welcome and get us more
involved in this Faire and future ones.

We would love if you could spend
some time at the Wurm Wald pavillion, perhaps
demonstrating some
handwork or other craft, and talking up the SCA. The
Faire would absolutely LOVE to have a few fighting
demonstrations, but since we have no fighters in our
local group, I have held off organizing any such
thing until I have heard if any fighters from the
surrounding groups will be coming.

If you are interested in free Faire admission, free
camping (if you didn't get enough at Pennsic) that
comes with free breakfast, a discounted lunch, and the
opportunity to help us make a good showing, please let
me know (seneschal at wurmwald.org or yanajenn at yahoo.com)
by this Friday, August 26 if you can come, and what
days you will be helping out. I would also like to
know if you are interested in staying overnight (did 
mention they have on-site camping this year?) and
whether or not you can help set up and/or take down
the pavillion.
