Subject: [Mid] Amazing and Wonderful event plug!!!!

Come one! Come all! to the Barony of Blackstone's
celebration of the coming darkness of winter.... The
Wickerman Festival!

Unto that group hosting that event called "Festival of
the Maidens" and also to all others who may read this
missive, does it give me great honor, at the behest of
my Baron and Baroness Lord Tomas and his Lady Rowan of

the Blackstone Mountains, to offer forth this
invitation welcoming any and all to our upcoming
Wikerman event, taking place on the 29th of October in

the most Glories Kingdom of Aethelmearc!

This invite is of particular interest to both us, and
we think, the hosts of "Festival of Maidens" for the
reason of the following sentences, seen in a recent
post on this very list:
 ****"  In honor of Penguin Appreciation Day, the
theme this year will be "Attack of the Auks." Eh.
They're so cute that I almost want them to stick an
axe in my head..."*****

This is of great interest to the Barony of Blackstone,
as we have, for years untold, been the sole protectors
of our Fair Kingdoms southern border against the
depredations of those monochromatic flightless avians!
Few recognize the threat poised by these most devious
of creatures, so it has long been left to our barony
alone to defend against them.

But! At last, have we found perhaps another group,
whom truly understand this same threat (all be it in
another Kingdome *sniff*)? Another group who
understands that the cuteness is all a mean ploy to
win over our very 
trust?

Or, alas...does this only mean we have found a group,
who, won over by our very enemies, and taken with
their "cuteness" and "vulnerability" have sided with
our sworn foes?

Well....either way, we invite you to our Wickerman! If
you be friend to us, Come, Come! and help us defeat
our common adversary by purchasing a Penguin to be
burned in the evenings wickerman (all proceeds will go
to 
help with the hurricane relief....and as an added
bonus, apparently burning stuff in the wickerman
brings good luck for the coming winter! It's a
win/win/win 
proposition!). Or, if you be friends to that
binary-colored scourge, then Come! Come! defend
their..."honor" and lets us beat on you..errr.....I
mean, let us *compete* with you in our many
tournaments planned for the day! Fighting! Fencing!
Arts and Sciences! Silly Heraldry! We have it all!

Not to mention one of the most popular, most
sumptuous, most hardy and most satisfying feasts ever
created!
(ummm....you all just might not want to ask exactly
*which* kingdoms royal forest the venison came from
though...)
