Business meeting
Monday, March 13, 2006
Meeting started 7:40 pm
Present: Yana, Bran, Marina

Officer Reports
Seneschal (Yana): Will order labels for membership
count. Had one demo request, had to turn down due to
lack of prep time and willing participants. Wants to
update Shire “bylaws” since they still reflect our old
Baronial status.

Herald (Bran): Updating Order of Precedence.

Chatelaine (Marina): Updating files.

Exchequer (Bera, not present): Signature card is
getting updated.

Webminister (Yana): Needs to update website, sorry for
delay.

Business Meetings
Our monthly business meetings are now going to be on
the second Tuesday of the month. Hopefully this will
allow more people to come to the meetings.

Arts and Science Meetings: Usually on 3rd Sunday of
the month, have to reschedule in April due to snafu
with room reservations at the Urbana Free Library. At
the February A&S meeting, we decided to do something
involving food. Because the 3rd Sunday in April is
Easter, we are rescheduling to April 9 and will be
meeting at Yana’s to cook and eat Lenten dishes, in
honor of the season. Details to follow in separate
email to the discussion list.

Some purchases were proposed and approved. The Shire
will be buying the following:

Kingdom handbooks: Seneschal, Pursuivant, Chatelaine,
A & S, Armored combat.
Society publications: Known World Handbook (1 copy),
SCA Newcomer’s Guide (4 copies). 

Yana will coordinate the purchases and check to see if
there will be any new editions coming out soon that
would preclude the Shire purchasing items right now.
