Hi,

my name is Ben, I have been trying to get to a gathering for awhile, still haven't made it, but this semester might be the time. So, considering this is my second email sent on this list, salutations, and hilse.

I have a question for anyone that is knowledgeable. I am Sword Brothering for the Kinsmen, and I am not sure if any of you are familiar but I need to become proficient in three non combat arts. Two of mine are leatherworking and period shield making.

For one, anyone know of a semi local leathersmith who would be willing to take me on?

Second, the shields I am making are a 9th century punch and teardrop shield, commonly used by the Norse and Polish, I have never made one, has anyone?


I appreciate any help that you can give me. 
Also, if anyone has an AIM to give me so that I can chit chat and start finding my way around, meet some people, I would appreciate it. I could do with knowing a few people who aren't Gypsies or in Horde.
